Thermal Analysis of Polymers, Rubber, and Coatings

We have decided to do a follow-up low temperature seminar in Orange County to coincide with Antec in Anaheim! We will be hosting “Thermal Analysis of Polymers, Rubber, and Coatings” on May 11th in Orange County, CA (Anaheim) This seminar will focus on low temperature thermal and mechanical property analysis of polymer, rubber, and coating materials. The theory of the thermal stability, composition of materials, enthalpy changes, specific heat, transition energetics, and deformation will be covered. Both the strengths and weaknesses of the various measurement techniques including DSC, TGA, STA (Simultaneous DSC/DTA-TGA), Laser Flash for Thermal Diffusivity and Thermal Conductivity, TMA, and DMA will be discussed. Material characterization using evolved gas analysis (EGA) coupled to standard thermal analysis techniques such as TGA/DSC will also be stressed. Finally, examples for thermal characterization of a wide-variety of advanced materials will be covered along with a live DSC 214 Polyma demonstration.

Netzsch will be providing beverages and a lunch for our guests. The registration is done on a first come first serve basis. We will be limited to the first 30 people who register as that is the limit of what the room can hold. (We have overbooked registration the last two times!) Please register at the link provided below. I look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to forward this information to any additional co-workers who may be interested.
