2019 Spring Meeting Registration

The Southern California Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis (SCSMM) 2019 spring symposium is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2019 at Cali2 Auditorium, UC Irvine campus. 

Besides networking and meeting friends, invited speakers together with vendors will give talks.  Invited speakers include Dr. Bruce Cohen (Molecular Foundry, LNBL, Berkeley), Mark Herzik (UCSD/Scripps) and Daniela Boassa (NCMIR, San Diego). More details can be found at SCSMM website.

​For the Spring symposium, please register below. Registration no later than 5 p.m. April 9th.

Note: To attend the meeting, you should be a member of the SCSMM. 

The current SCSMM membership is for the academic year, that is, September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019.  

Current membership categories include:    a) Regular @ $25.00; b) Student @ $10.00, c) Regular Corporate @ $100.00, d) Corporate Bronze @ $250.00, e) Corporate Silver @ $350.00, f) Corporate Gold @ $600.00

Corporate memberships are entitled to two individual member listings in the new academic year. If you have selected a Corporate Membership, please provide details for the second listing. Write “2nd Listing” in the last box called the words to SCSMM board.

You may pay for your due at the reception desk of our symposium. A check for the appropriate amount made payable to SCSMM is acceptable.  You may also mail the check to SCSMM treasurer:

At the symposium we will have both student platform talk and poster presentations. Please send abstracts to Adam Stieg (stieg@cnsi.ucla.edu) by March 15, 2019. Students are encouraged to contribute with presentation at the SCSMM meeting. You'll get the chance 1) to win up to $500; 2) become a member of professional society; 3) build up your network; 4) you can update your CV with your added talk at scientific meeting.

This year we continue to hold the SCSMM Image Contest. Please send your images to Shrawan Kumar Mageswaran (m.shrawankumar@gmail.com) by April 6, 2019. We also have a few prizes for the image contest. For more details, please see SCSMM website (www.scsmm.org) and also follow SCSMM Facebook page.
