Biography
Xiaofeng manages the day-to-day operation of the TEMPR characterization facility. He trains and advises existing and potential users from both academic and industrial backgrounds and initiates project collaboration across organizations.
Xiaofeng has served as R&D lead positions at two different start-up companies from 2015 to 2019 developing new conductor and semiconducting materials for OLED and touch sensor applications. Prior to that, Xiaofeng was a Project Scientist at UC Santa Barbara, managed research lab, and led independent research projects and collaborations.
Xiaofeng earned his BS in Medicinal Chemistry from Peking University (2004) and Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences with a P&G Doctoral Award (2009) and received postdoc training from UC Santa Barbara (2012). Xiaofeng has authored and co-authored 45+ peer-reviewed publications and is an editor of Heliyon—an open-access Elsevier journal—in the areas of semiconducting materials and devices.
Research Interests
His areas of research interest include organic semiconductors, functional composite materials, and flexible integrated electronics.
