TA Discovery Series HR-2 Hybrid Rheometer

Description

The Discovery series Hybrid Rheometer (HR-2) from TA Instruments offers precise measurements of both viscosity and viscoelasticity of various materials, e.g., high viscosity fluids, pastes, polymer solutions and melts, and soft solids and as a function of temperature. Typical applications include viscosity measurements of LED encapsulants, solder pastes, fluxes, underfill, die-attach adhesives, glob top encapsulants, etc. for the electronic packaging industry; curing profiles of thermoset plastics and UV-curing adhesives and encapsulants, and rheology and viscoelasticity of polymers.

Available Geometries

Parallel Plate Geometries (20 mm and 40 mm)

Available Lower Plate

Standard Peltier Plate

What Can be Measured?

Low/Medium/High Viscosity Liquids, Complex Fluids, Structured formulations, and Soft Solids/gels

Sample Dimension Requirements

Materials with low modulus and high plasticity can be accepted as bulk. Materials with higher elasticity should be provided as disk with 20 mm diameter and thickness <2 mm.
